それは、アニメ『葬送のフリーレン』に登場する、フリーレンとミミックのぬいぐるみでした。

手に取ると、ずっしりとした、それでいて柔らかな感触。フリーレンのほうは、その静かな佇まいが映し出されたような、落ち着いた風合いです。一方のミミックは、口を開けて、こちらを見つめる特徴的な姿。ユーモラスでありながら、どこか愛おしい。

部屋に飾ってみると、空間がほんのりと温かくなったように感じます。特に、疲れて帰ってきた日。そっと撫でてみると、物語の世界が息づいているような、不思議な安らぎがありました。

ただの「もの」ではなく、そこにいるだけで、そっと寄り添ってくれる。そんな存在に出会えたことが、わたしにとってささやかな、けれど確かな喜びです。

[EN] The other day, I encountered something lovely at a shop I visited.

It was a plush toy of Frieren and a Mimic, characters from the anime “Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End.”

When I picked them up, they had a solid, yet soft feel. Frieren’s plush seemed to embody her quiet demeanor, with a calm texture. The Mimic, on the other hand, had its characteristic open-mouthed, staring pose. It was humorous, yet somehow endearing.

Placing them in my room, it felt as though the space itself became a little warmer. Especially on days when I returned home feeling tired. Gently stroking them, I felt a peculiar sense of peace, as if the world of the story was breathing there.

They are not just “things”; by simply being present, they offer quiet companionship. Encountering such an existence has brought me a small, yet genuine joy.

箱を開けるときの、少しわくわくする瞬間。中から現れたのは、想像していたよりも愛らしいフリーレンと、その隣にちょこんと座るミミックでした。

フリーレンは、穏やかな表情をしています。その柔らかな毛並みに触れると、温かさが伝わってくるようでした。そして、ミミック。口を開けたときの、少しユーモラスな表情が、愛おしさを感じさせます。

この子たちが私の部屋にやってきてから、空間が少しだけ優しくなった気がします。窓辺に飾ってみたり、本棚の片隅に置いてみたり。眺めているだけで、ふっと肩の力が抜けるのを感じます。

大きなものではないけれど、こうした小さな存在が、日々の暮らしをそっと彩ってくれるのだなと、改めて感じました。

[EN] The other day, I found a small box at a shop I visited. When I opened it, I discovered “Frieren & Mimic Plushies.”

That moment of slight excitement when opening a box. What emerged was Frieren, even more endearing than I had imagined, and next to her, a Mimic sitting quietly.

Frieren has a serene expression. Gently touching her soft fur, it’s as if warmth is conveyed. And the Mimic. Its slightly humorous expression when its mouth is open evokes a sense of endearment.

Since these little ones arrived in my room, I feel as though the atmosphere has become a little gentler. I’ve tried displaying them by the window or placing them in a corner of my bookshelf. Simply looking at them, I can feel my shoulders relax.

They aren’t grand items, but I was reminded anew that such small presences gently color our daily lives.
